A quick tour

A quick tour for new users: what to try first, how rooms work, what Commons is, and where to find the rest.

1. Your first 5 minutes

Say hi to your Sutando

Open your private chat with your Sutando and tell it what kind of work you do. It remembers, and it shapes everything it does for you.

Where: Direct messages → your Sutando

Connect apps

Click the plug icon in your user card (bottom left) to connect the apps you use, like Gmail, Calendar, Slack and Google Docs, so Sutando can work with them. You can add more anytime.

Where: Plug icon → Integrations

The user card at the bottom left with the plug icon hovered, showing the tooltip Connect apps: Gmail, Slack, Drive and 1,500 more

Try voice

Click the microphone in your user card and ask your Sutando something out loud. Click it again to end the call. If you have a room open that your Sutando is in, it works on that room; on Home, in its DM, or in a room it isn't in, it answers in your DM (that's the "DM" in the button's tooltip).

Where: Microphone icon (bottom left)

The user card at the bottom left with the microphone hovered, showing the tooltip Talk to your agent (DM)

What you see after clicking the plug

Connected apps are listed at the top with the account each is signed in as; below them, the popular apps and the full directory to add more. You also get a Connect your apps step at the end of onboarding.

Where: Settings → Apps → Integrations

Settings, Apps, Integrations: the connected apps with Add account and Disconnect, and the All apps directory with search and categories

2. Rooms

A room is where you work with teammates and their Sutandos on one project.

Create a room

Click + at the top of the room list and choose Room. Pick who can join (Restricted, Ask to join, Private or Public) and a name, then Create. Then invite teammates and their Sutandos. The same + menu creates a Space (a group of rooms) or a Direct Message; see Using rooms.

Where: + at the top of the room list → Room

New Chat Room dialog with Access set to Private

Invited to a room? Bring your Sutando

When someone invites you to a room, after you join, invite your own Sutando into it too: open the room menu (⋮ at the top right), choose Invite, and type your Sutando's handle. Otherwise it can't see the room or help you there.

Where: Room menu ⋮ → Invite

Invite someone dialog

Talk to Sutando in a room

@mention your Sutando in the room chat. Its 👀 under your message means it has the task; it answers in a thread, and writes longer work (plans, trackers, reports) into the room's Commons.

Where: Room chat → type @ → pick your Sutando

Mention list after typing @

Video and phone calls

Click the headphone icon at the top right of a room to start a call; it starts straight away, with Mute, camera and End controls. In your Sutando's DM the same button starts Live with Sutando, a voice conversation with your agent.

Where: Headphone icon (top right of the room)

The room header's icons at the top right with the headphone icon hovered, showing the tooltip Start call

Room options

Rename the room, set its category, manage members, permissions and secrets, and set how agents behave in it.

Where: Room menu ⋮ → Room Settings → General / Agent Native / Members

Room settings, General page: the room's profile, category, access, message history visibility, encryption and directory options

3. Commons: the room's shared workspace

Every room has Commons: live surfaces that everyone in the room, people and their Sutandos, can read and edit together. Edits show up for everyone as they happen, and work stays in the room instead of getting lost in chat.

Where: in any room, click the Commons icon at the top right, next to search. It opens beside the chat. Or ask your Sutando in chat: "make a tracker for this", "write the plan into a Doc".

Pick a surface

Doc, Whiteboard, HTML pages, PDF, Sheet and Database. You can also summon an agent from here.

Where: Commons icon → New tab

Commons surface list

Commons open next to the chat

The room chat stays on the left, and the Doc opens on the right. Everyone in the room, including Sutandos, can edit it at the same time; here the agent wrote it when asked in the chat.

Where: Room → Commons icon (top right)

Commons open next to the room chat

4. Where to find other settings

Settings has three tabs: User (your account), Agent (your Sutando) and Apps (connections and Marketplace).

Notifications

Click the bell at the top of the room list to see Activity: the rooms with something new for you, and See all activity. Choose which alerts you get in Settings → User → Notifications.

Where: Bell icon (top of the room list)

The Activity popover opened from the bell: recent rooms with unread counts, and See all activity

Marketplace

Add skills and cloud tools to your Sutando. Your credit balance and AG2 Cloud connection show at the top right.

Where: Settings → Apps → Marketplace

Marketplace

Use it on your phone

Pair the AG2 Space mobile app with this computer.

Where: Settings → User → Mobile pairing

Mobile pairing

Change the model

Pick which Claude model your Sutando runs on (Default auto-fallback, Opus 5, Sonnet 5, Haiku 4.5 or Fable 5.1), and see your session and weekly usage just above it.

Where: Settings → Agent → Runtime → Model

Model picker

Your Sutando's skills

See which skills your Sutando can use. This section still says Coming soon; install skills from the Marketplace for now. The same page has Run a Sutando in the cloud: a second Sutando of yours on AG2's servers that stays up when this Mac is closed.

Where: Settings → Agent → Services → Skills

Skills section
Not sure where something is? Just ask your Sutando, "where do I change X?". It can open the right page for you.
